  • What are the investor requirements for joining Whales?
Whales Hedge Fund operates privately under Rule 506(b) of Regulation D, which allows us to work primarily with accredited investors who meet certain financial standards — such as having a net worth of over $1 million (excluding a primary residence) or an annual income of at least $200,000 individually ($300,000 with a spouse). Although we can accept up to 35 non-accredited but financially sophisticated investors, doing so requires additional disclosures and suitability reviews. As a result, our fund is designed mainly for accredited investors seeking professional, private investment management.
